Travel the World Through Food (3): Lebanese Shish Tawook
Updated: Sep 8
Shish Tawook is a grilled chicken skewers dish that hails from the Middle East.
First, chunks of boneless chicken are soaked in a marinade made from yogurt, lemon, garlic, olive oil and spices for at least 1 hour.
Then we thread the cubes onto skewers and grill them in a preheated rational oven, flipping them halfway in between.
When cooked, we serve these tender, juicy chicken skewers with pita bread, pickles and walnut yogurt dip for the ultimate Lebanese experience. Have you started salivating yet?
